Down to 3
After digging and digging we could not find a drain to fix on the small right bunker in front of 16 green. The old bunker would not drain and became a frog pond. We decided the best action for this bunker is to fill it and sod over the area. I think it turned out great! Kevin

We are linked to the news letter!
Now that we are linked to the News Letter!
The goal of this Blog is to communicate to you the golfer on what's going on around the course with the most up to date information on course conditions (cart path only), projects, and day to day operations. You will be able to get things like aerification dates with out calling the Pro Shop.
This is also a place for you to "nicely" ask questions about why we do things the way we do or just send us a note of encouragement as well. Kevin

Venting Greens/Pushing Roots
We have started the process of venting greens. It's a process that we poke small holes in the greens with the aerator that allows the green to do a couple things. The first is "breathe" Allow air flow and soil gases to move into the soil and relieve the compaction for golfers and mowers. The second is to let water go deep into the greens for the roots can chase it and make it strong for the summer heat stress. The Process will take a couple days but will effect play very little. The tiny holes should disappear in three or four days. We still plan on doing our normal aerification at the end of May. Kevin

Week of 4/714
This week is what I like to call kill week! We are going to do all of our pre-emergent, and kill the broad leaf weeds that are creeping up everywhere! There will be some changes on starting hole this week due to some of the chemicals we are going to spray around the greens cannot be tracked on the green with your feet. We are also going to be cart path only for a couple day due to the rain today! Kevin

Whats Going On Out On Eight?
We are removing some of the Junipers that engulf the eight hole. The hole will still be a difficult par four with native area replacing the Junipers. Plus we found the two super deep bunkers on the back side of the hill that you can't see from the tee that adds to the danger of going for the green off the tee. The old bunkers will also be native grass.
Bunkers are back
After a near three inch rainfall it a full two day event to put the bunkers back together. Great job by my great crew! Kevin
