It has been a crazy four months here but we are working hard
to open this spring with many changes.
The weather has not been the best for getting all the things we want to
done on our list. We started with some
“BIG UGLYS” such as #10 fairway bunker.
We have removed, added to and reduced the fingers and slopes to ease the
extreme maintenance of this one bunker. Our goal is to keep the integrity of
the bunker but reduce the maintenance of it. We also have started a bunker
project on the right side of number five fairway. There were two bunkers next to each other, one
main drained worked and one didn’t. The
easiest way to fix it was to make one bunker and redo the drainage to go to the
open drain. We have started bush hogging all 90 acres of native as well. If the
weather breaks and we can get there our next project is to make some major
improvements to the driving range. We
will be fixing the drainage and creating target greens and lesson area for
Lester and Brett.
